Review: LEGO Build-a-Minifigure (BAM) Q4 2024 Christmas

Here’s a look at the new Christmas-themed Q4 2024 LEGO Build-a-Minifigure (BAM) characters! They just started showing up in LEGO Stores here in Australia, and have been available in Europe and other countries since the beginning of November.

Similar to 2023’s Christmas BAM lineup, there are only 3 new characters introduced, but each has a unique and exclusive element to collect and I think this is one of the best Christmas-themed releases yet!

Next time you’re in a LEGO Store, be sure to check the BAM Stations out to see if these have arrived!

Check out previous build a Minifigure (BAM) releases below. I am still missing the previous Summer release unfortunately!

What are LEGO Build-a-Minifigure (BAM) exclusives?

In case you’re new to this, LEGO have been releasing new (and sometimes exclusives) into Build a Minifigure (BAM) stations that you’ll find at LEGO Stores. These are usually released on a quarterly basis, and are an intentional strategy to attract LEGO and Minifigure fans in-store.

You can customise your minifigures, and select a wig/hairpiece, head, torso, legs, and one accessory for these 3-packs which cost US$9.99 / AU$19.99. Most of LEGO’s Build a Minifigures have also now transitioned to sustainable cardboard boxes.

Some stores also send these new characters pre-packed, but that depends on your local store policy.

Here’s a look at the selection, which is very festive! The Design Team responsible for this selection have clearly had a lot of fun with the characters, and Build-a-Minifigure collectors are going to be very happy with this early Christmas present.

The Surfing Santa is a real treat, especially for those of us who live in the Southern Hemisphere, where Christmas is right smack in the middle of summer, and closely associated with barbecues and the beach.

Summer Santa is dressed to surf, with his red swim shorts, and he also comes with a new surfboard which has a suitably festive LEGO Pine Tree design.

Next we have a little girl with a very festive Christmas sweater which is a brand new torso, and exclusive to Build-a-Minifigure. She comes with a red bird as her accessory.

If her delightfully festive sweater wasn’t cool enough, there’s also back printing with a Snowman! The torso is technically reversible if you’re game to yank out the arms and switch them around.

But the coolest BAM minifigure from the Q4 Christmas selection has to be the the Christmas Present minifigure!

He comes with a new printed tile that attaches to his brick suit.

The most exciting thing is of course a brand new Green Brick Suit! LEGO seems to love recolouring this Brick Suit torso for Build-a-Minifigure and I can’t complain as I love collecting these variants.

Here’s a look at all the Brick Suit minifigures that are in existence as of the end of 2024! These have been so fun to collect and I can’t wait to see more colours being added to this!

Despite there being only 3 characters to collect, the Q4 2024 Christmas Build-a-Minifigures are excellent and in my opinion, is one of the best releases yet. With so many reasons to pop into LEGO stores during the festive

For Doug Paice : since the hair he used on the picture with all the colored brick-suits people is the one from the Joker, I would say “green” on bricklink

  2. Doug Paice says:

What colour green is the new brick suit? Either in Lego or bricklink colours? I’ll be getting 6, but I need to find matching monochrome regular minifigs and and then legs ands and heads

I picked these up at my local store a couple days ago. I got two Green Brick guys, one I could keep in his “gift” form for holiday decorating, and one I could leave off the printed tile to add to my rainbow collection of Brick Suited Guys and Gals. I really like your pic above, I have all those colors, but for some reason never thought to match their wigs to their bricks. That’s a nice touch I’ll have to look into. Also, my store’s BAM station only had dark red santa hats for Surfing Santa, which I thought was odd since he’s got a (bright) red body else-wise. Maybe it’s left over from last year’s Dark Red BAM Santa.
Fortunately, I have a couple spare red hats in my collection, so he’s squared away (and I now have a dark red hat in my spares bin – yay!). I may give my Surfing Santa yellow hands… seems to me he wouldn’t be wearing gloves. Anyway, thanks for keeping up the BAM info.

Excellent. I live no where near an official lego store, so I have not gotten any. I would prefer Santa with a Santa swimsuit top!!

You may be able to find the previous BbAM releases at the online certified store in Aust – they were definitely there for a while. Thanks for the review – great to see them

  6. Richard says:

You’re the best source of BaM information that I have found. Keep up the great work!

  7. A Few Bricks Short says:

Crap I didn’t realize the green brick fan costume was a different green! Now I have to back to the LEGO store!
