LEGO Harry Potter Summer 2025 wave features Hogwarts Express Book Nook, Thestrals and Balloon Aunt Marge!

Here’s a look at the Summer 2025 LEGO Harry Potter sets coming on 1 June 2025!

There’s a bit of everything here such as new expansions to the LEGO Hogwarts Castle series with 76454 Hogwarts Castle: The Main Tower, and a new Harry Potter-themed book nook with 76450 Harry Potter Book Nook: Hogwarts Express which should be great to display alongside your Harry Potter books.

76451 Privet Drive Aunt Marge’s Visit is quite possibly one of the most hilarious LEGO Harry Potter sets ever, as it includes an inflated Aunt Marge figure! LEGO Harry Potter fans will also be excited to get 76449 Chomping Monster Book of Monsters, which is the first time that the Monster Book of Monsters has been made available as a retail set, as it was only ever released as a GWP (gift with purchase) in 2020, and a short-lived Barnes and Noble exclusive for the US.

I was wondering if you’ve given any thought to not purchasing/reviewing Harry Potter sets in light of JK Rowling using the platform and money she gets from the Harry Potter IP to fund the anti-transgender movement in the UK. (I promise I’m asking this in good faith and not trying to start an argument, I know you probably have a lot of considerations that go into what you review as this is your livelihood, but I’ve always appreciated the way you highlight and support LEGO’s efforts at being more inclusive in their sets and this feels like it should be part of that discussion as well.)

    • Prequelfan says:

Absolutely agree. Great author. Not a great person.

    • Steven says:

Sorry but can we please keep the Culture Wars away from children’s toys?

Lots of people love Harry Potter. Let’s not shame them because some people disagree with the Author’s views and just let people enjoy things?

      • Rachel says:

I’m not trying to shame anyone, I grew up with the Harry Potter books and loved them too. There was a time I would’ve been ecstatic about these sets coming out. I raised a point about the real world impact of the money that is spent on Harry Potter IP. I’m sorry but I don’t believe people’s rights and safety being taken away are a “Culture War” difference of opinion that can just be dismissed – where we put our money does actually matter and in this instance the Author, as you put it, has made it very clear how she uses the money she gets from the sale of Harry Potter merchandise. And as I said in my initial comment, I also know Jay may not be in a position to avoid an entire line of LEGO sets; I fully understand and respect that if so. No shaming intended, I just think this is actually an important topic to discuss, and from many of Jay’s posts on this blog I do believe he is someone who cares about LEGO’s values in addition to enjoying the products they put out.

        • VanderAppel says:

Please, Rachel, stop this. You are entitled to your opinion, but you are spreading misinformation. JKR is absolutely not anti-trans. She very clearly states that again and again. She believes that transgender people of course deserve the same rights as any other person. What her point is, is that transgender rights shouldn’t trump any other person’s rights, for example women’s rights. She believes trans women (i.e. biological men) in women’s sports are unfair. She believes self id’ing can be dangerous in certain instances, for example when men suddenly say they id as women a month before they start their prison time (at least five examples of that in Scotland alone). She believes women who have just been raped should be allowed to say ‘no’ when the person helping them at a rape crisis center looks like a man (there’s a big difference between Laverne Cox and the average middle-aged man who suddenly identifies as a woman). She believes it’s ridiculous and very hurtful to others if a trans woman, i.e. a biological man, feels entitled to be part of a support group for women who have lost babies. You, especially as a woman, should feel the same way and I personally find it incomprehensible and very worrying that you don’t. For some people, trans is about finally living the way they feel they’re intended to. For others, it’s the next frontier in misogyny. It’s the latter she fights againt, not trans people in general.
I agree with you that sometimes, when the issue is very factural and very serious and harmful, people should ban certain products, people, etc. But in this case, that is very different.

          • Rachel says:

Oh give me a break. She contributed substantial funds to a court case that just stripped transgender people in the UK of equal rights protections and posted on social media gloating about it, to act like she’s not transphobic and is just looking out for women at this point is simply ridiculous. (And that’s just one single example, she can post the occasional “I definitely don’t hate trans people” all she wants, her actions and the money she funnels into anti-trans causes speak louder. As do most of her other words on social media, fwiw.) And for the record *as a woman* I find the actions and beliefs of so-called “feminists” like her to be infantilizing and regressive towards women and incredibly cruel to an already marginalized minority of people who literally just want to live their lives in peace and with dignity. Everyone has to make their own decision as to how much they want to divest themselves from supporting that ideology with their money and I am not spreading misinformation for bringing the issue to the forefront.

            • VanderAppel says:

Did you even truly read up on the court case?! The ONLY thing to come out of that was the simple fact that your biology doesn’t change when your identity changes. That’s it. It’s crazy that a court case was needed for that. No rights were stripped whatsoever, so you’re spreading misinformation again.
But of course, you think they have been greatly wronged and you conveniently ignore my examples.
And please. Yes, true trans people want to live their lives in peace and with dignity. A colleague is a trans woman and I love her. It’s the other 90% of ‘trans’ people, i.e. horrible misogynists, don’t do ANYthing with dignity. They have brought this mess onto themselves and have made my colleague, who indeed just wants to live her life without shouting it from the rooftops and who has never felt horrible treated or marginalized, ashamed and afraid. She doesn’t feel like she belongs with the shouting masses at all and she says that it has had the opposite effect, because if you act horribly, horrible things will follow. Nobody had any problem with her and other trans people (well, except for the religious crazies), at least not here, and now her world has changed. And the world has changed for women too. I will never stand by that. But I won’t ever tell anybody what to buy or not buy either. That’s up to them. My response was about misinformation. Yours was about trying to persuade others to stop buying HP LEGO.

          • Give it a break says:

How nice of you to tell people how they should feel. It’s bad enough that you’ve been duped by JK and you’re the one spreading misinformation, but what’s even worse is that you think you get to tell people how they should feel.

            • VanderAppel says:

Literally everything I said is fact. No idea which bit is misinformation.

            • VanderAppel says:

Also, funny you should that it’s ME telling people who they should feel. I don’t. Did you read Rachel’s first message? It’s HER trying to persuade people to not promote or buy HP LEGO. I don’t care if people promote or buy it. I don’t care how people feel about it. I DO care about misinformation and Rachel provided that. It’s easy to check. But of course, you are Rachel too, aren’t you? This is my last. If you don’t understand the ramifications of telling people biology can be changed, there’s truly nothing to add.

              • Rachel says:

                1. Is this or is it not you telling someone (me) how they should feel: “You, especially as a woman, should feel the same way and I personally find it incomprehensible and very worrying that you don’t.” Because that seems pretty straightforward to me.
                2. I am allowed to express my opinion about whether people should buy/promote Harry Potter IP. I have no power to make anyone do anything, I can’t stop anyone from buying or promoting anything. But I AM allowed to say what I think. *You* are allowed to carry on buying Harry Potter merch as much as you want, I have not interfered with your ability to do so in any way.
                3. No, the person you were replying to was not also me, is it really that hard to believe that more than one person might agree with what I’m saying?

      • V says:

Shut the hell up. Rowling is a monster and uses her money to torment innocent people. “But muh childhood!!1!” Get over it and grow the hell up.

    • Will says:

      Grow up lol

  2. Prequelfan says:

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the great hall tower. Shockingly overpriced. Hope trump/lego fans are having second thoughts.

  3. Justme says:

A great GWP might be enough of an incentive to buy these directly from Lego instead of taking advantage of the token HP discounts at Walmart and Target. The left side of the Fawkes box looks peculiar. Could it be a GWP?

  4. Helen says:

I wonder if the Quality Quidditch Supplies & Ice Cream Parlour is the same scale as the original Diagon Alley set or if it’s small like the scaled down version?

    • bugula says:

which scaled down version? hahah they made building out diagon alley a confusing endeavor

    • Mike says:

These will likely be the same scale as the other 2-shop sets that have come out. I think they’re a little smaller than the multi-shop set that was released. I’ve been combining the two to fill out the stores and convert them to modular instead of dollhouse style.
