Review: 40762 Mixed Flowerpot GWP

Spring is beginning to bloom in the Northern Hemisphere, so to celebrate all things floral, LEGO have introduced a brand new Botanical set for March 2025, but with a catch – it’s a GWP (gift with purchase).
40762 Mixed Flowerpot is the latest Botanical-themed GWP from LEGO, and will be available from 12-21 March 2025 when you spend US$150 / £135 / AU$245 / €150 / NZD$265 on LEGO.com or your local LEGO Store.
It’s a nice little bonus if you’re also planning to pick up 76968 Dinosaur Fossils Tyrannosaurus Rex which goes on sale today, but otherwise, the GWP qualifying threshold isn’t too restrictive for what is a pretty good small-sized LEGO Botanical set! If you’re in the UK/EU, be sure to also use my exclusive promo codes for Majisto’s Workshop to maximise your GWPs!

This 253-piece set is one of the first LEGO Botanicals-themed GWPs, and features the bleak black LEGO Icons box, as well as the LEGO Botanicals logo on the bottom strip, giving it quite an elevated and premium look.
The premium look helps it stand out from other similar Flower-themed Botanical GWPs like 40683 Flower Trellis Display (from 2024), and 40588 Flowerpot (from 2023), which are a typical Botanical-themed GWP offered in Spring, but the LEGO Icons set does make it look a lot more luxe and appealing.

There are 3 numbered bags in total, with Bag 1 building the base, and Bag 2 and 3 for the various Botanicals and LEGO Flowers, which are now a cornerstone of LEGO’s adult portfolio.
The completed model is really quite attractive, and an excellent addition to anyone’s LEGO Flower/Botanical collection. One thing I really like is the composition and height, as well as the different flowers pointed at different angles, as well as all the fun complementary colours used.

The “flowerpot” is very minimal and white, and not really a flowerpot at all, as it’s really a shallow platform for you to stick the stems in, making the “Mixed Flowerpot” name quite misleading, in my opinion.

The way the flower stems are attached to the “pot” via spiky stems in my opinion is more a reference to Flower Frogs, specifically the Japanese Kenzan which uses needles to attach soft-stemmed flowers for floral arrangements and art, known as Ikebana. This is actually a really cool nod by LEGO Botanicals to how other cultures approach Floral Arrangements, and it’s a shame that it wasn’t referenced in the building instructions.

If you have a lot of LEGO Botanical sets, you’ll see some similar flowers, such as the Persian buttercup from 10345 Flower Arrangement, recoloured in a more vibrant pink here, which utilises more conventional LEGO bricks for the structure of the outer petals.

Bunched butterflies have traditionally been used as a technique for Hydrangeas Iike in 10345 Floral Arrangement), and we have them in yellow here.

There are also these pale lavender flowers, which might be Purple Larkspur or Purple Stock Flowers?

And here’s a look at the taller stems, and sand green leaves at the back to complete the look. I’m not sure what these flowers are, but the new peonies in orange look great and contrast nicely against the green stems!

Here’s how 40762 Mixed Flowerpot looks like alongside some of the other smaller, potted LEGO Botanicals. And a LEGO Cat, for scale.
I think it fits in quite nicely with 10343 Mini Orchid, 10344 Lucky Bamboo, 10368 Chrysanthemum and 10369 Plum Blossom from the Four Gentlemen series, as they’re similarly-sized and all come with tiny little pots.

The stark white pot is really effective here at making sure the vibrant colours standout.

And if you’re planning on picking up 76968 Dinosaur Fossils Tyrannosaurus Rex which goes on sale today, the 12th of March 2025, you’ll very easily qualify for 40762 Mixed Flowerpot. Here’s how they look together.

I think this is a very decent GWP, and a nice little bonus if there are any new March 2025 releases that you’re yet to get to. The US$150 / £135 / AU$245 purchase threshold seems quite fair for a set of this size and complexity, so if there’s anything on your to-buy list and you’re a fan of LEGO Botanicals, this is a pretty good GWP!
What do you think of the 40762 Mixed Flowerpot GWP? Would you like to see more Botanical GWPs like these?
40762 Mixed Flowerpot will be available from 12-21 March 2025 when spend US$150 / £135 / AU$245 / €150 / NZD$265 on LEGO.com.
