LEGO Creator’s Summer 2025 wave introduces new Castle Factions and a Haunted House remake!

We continue our LEGO Summer 2025 previews with LEGO Creator, with another incredible wave of Creator 3-in-1 sets that are slated to launch on 1 August 2025.

Very exciting news for LEGO Castle fans, as 31168 Medieval Horse Knight Castle introduces TWO new factions, Black Snakes and a White Horse, with incredible minifigures that will delight Medieval fans.

We also get a smaller more compact remake of LEGO’s Haunted House in the form of 31167 Haunted Mansion, which is perfect with Halloween approaching.

LEGO Creator has traditionally been all about the brick, but this time around, we’re seeing some incredible minifigures take center stage in these sets, with 31168 Medieval Horse Knight Castle and also new Ghosts in 31167 Haunted Mansion.

Can’t wait to get my hands on these, and army build with 31168 Medieval Horse Knight Castle!

Brick-built horses & barding? GROSS!! Why is Lego being cheating us on this stuff just to bump piece count…

    BOO!!

  2. Andrew H says:

I am loving the new castle set and new faction! I always loved the Joust tournament, but would have loved a proper queen! Maybe yet to come… This would make a nice king with entourage to visit the lion knights castle. I would also love some more horse Boarding pieces.
The haunted house looks great, but why the Munsters in the Addams Family house?! Still gonna get it…
A Musters set might be pretty cool, and Rob Zombie might be down for it, gotta do the Cali house though!

  3. Ev says:

Lego is going to make me broke with all these 3in1s…

  4. Vintage lovin’ Forestman says:

I wonder who designed the haunted house. It’s rocking a black ‘Slope 75 2 x 2 x 2 Quadruple Convex’ with a current BL Ave for a new one of $27AUD. Between that and the glow-in-the-dark ghost that’s awesome fan service. If only you’d chucked in some black feathers. Thanks Legend.

  5. Luke H says:

I’m not usually that into the 3-in-1 sets but the Haunted Mansion looks so good!
I’ve wanted the 2012 Monster Fighters Haunted House for ages but could never justify spending hundreds.

  6. steve says:

    Love the castle!

  7. Blokie Chavez says:

brick built barding and horses, no shoulder armor for any of the knights.. i see cost cutting and it’s not COOL. this will be a 170 USD set or 180 i bet. makes zero sense. it’s their own IP. look what they give with Dreamz, monkie kid

  8. Timothy J Kemperle says:

The haunter mansion really looks a lot like the Monster Fighters set from back in 2012…even the minifigs are similar. It does appear much smaller though.

  9. Prequelfan says:

These are absolutely incredible. I feel kind of stupid that my favorite is the unicorn castle… definitely getting that and the haunted house, excellent minifigures!

    • Amelia says:

My fave is the unicorn castle too. Gotta embrace the cheesiness and beautiful pastels… Can’t wait to add the derpiest minifigs like Adventure Time or Batman in a yellow floatie. 🙂 Yay!

  10. Lorraine says:

Interesting the retro phone is not adding flowers like previous similar releases.

I usually like the animal 3 in 1 these aren’t as good this time round, but it is a high bar.

    I do like haunted house.

  11. Erin says:

The flags, shields and caparisons are in varying combinations of red, blue, yellow, white & black – if Lego is referencing anything I would guess it to be the original 5 colours of Lego bricks available in the 70’s.

  12. flagstones says:

Ah, shoot. Sorry, wallet, that’s buy-buy-buy clean-sweep for once.

  13. Justme says:

I (mostly) like the fact that 3in1 sets try not to rely on pre built parts, but the brick built barding on the horses in 31168 looks terrible. They look like pot bellied llamas.

  14. Greg N. says:

Must. Preorder. Must. Preorder. MUST. PREORDER.

  15. Josiah Loewen says:

This is very exciting! The first new medieval factions to be released for 12 years (since 2013)! I do have two drawbacks, unfortunately. The flags in the alternative build with the windmill are Ukrain flags. Why did Lego have to put modern politics into a medieval set?!? Also, I couldn’t help but notice that every knight is a girl. I agree that men and women are equal, but God gave them different tasks and responsibilities. Because of this, a set that was going to be an immediate purchase for me, might never be purchased. At the very most I will buy it and replace each female head with a male head.

    • Jahdkid says:

You’re tripping. There aren’t any Ukrainian flags and I don’t see anything remotely resembling one in any of the builds.

    • James Blades says:

I think those flags are just a coincidence, but if the shields are a nod to the good guys and the current war in Europe, why do you have a problem with that?
I’ll think you find it was medieval society that gave people different roles!
LEGO is more inclusive of girls now, it doesnt have to be historically accurate!!
Anyway love this set, including the heads and flags!!

      • Josiah Loewen says:

Does saying that medieval society gave different genders different roles prove that God did not create men and women with different tasks and responsibilities?

    • Jay Ong says:

      This is a crazy comment.

    • Derek says:

I swear that this is the best theme now. So much variety in everything they release, and some damn good ideas that we just wouldn’t see otherwise – like the retro telephone.

I’ll probably buy all of these except for the toucan. I love that the haunted house comes with an old style ghost and skeleton!

    • Freedom Forestman says:

I understand your need to only fill your life with iconography that reinforces the narrow world view you are a disciple of. You must be gutted it didn’t come with a troll.

    • Silver serpent says:

      > Doesn’t like when “pOliTiCs” are inserted into a set
      > Didn’t hesitate to bring the invisible guy in the sky into the conversation

There’s a great big world out there – all you have to do is get out from that bridge you’re living under

    • Jason Stepanski says:

Yeesh. Did you leave anything out? There might still be decent people giving you the benefit of the doubt. Your arm band is running out of room, may need a second one.

Zealot, Misogynist, in opposition to International Law regarding territorial sovereignty, what else?

      • Josiah Loewen says:

Did I say girls are less than men? Or that Ukraine does not have the right to protect itself?

  16. Paul Castle says:

I like the look of the Castle 3-in-1 set. Does it come with printed instructions? I might buy this when the Advent Calendars follow in September.

    • Jardex22 says:

If it’s like the other 3in1 sets I’ve gotten, it should have printed booklets for all three builds. Only the small polybags refer to app instructions for the alt builds.

If the set is big enough to have numbered bags, the main set will use them. The alternate builds will just say to dump everything.

  17. Mojca says:

    Thank you for sharing!
The Haunted Mansion looks adorable and perfect for younger fans, meanwhile the choice of the minifigures is classic. Looking forward.
