First look at 75434 K-2SO Security Droid from Star Wars Celebration Japan!

I’m currently at Star Wars Celebration Japan, and am incredibly honoured to be one of the first in the world to share one of the first in-person looks at 75434 K-2SO Security Droid, an upcoming LEGO Star Wars set that’s due to be released on 1 August 2025, with pre-orders opening soon!

This 845-piece model was on display at LEGO Star Wars Celebration, and lets you build the dry and sarcastic ex-Imperial Droid from Rogue One. K2SO is also set to appear in the upcoming Andor Season 2 (on Disney+), so it makes sense for LEGO to have this ready for the Summer 2025 wave.

It looks pretty good in person, and I like that it’s quite tall (elevated slightly by the platform he’s on) and I also love the cool little details such as the use of the underside of a Technic pin for his eyes.
There are some very nice recolours in the set, with the special highlight being the Technic wedge wheel now in yellow. The quarter dome for K2’s head is also a new recolour.
It’s quite poseable as well (from the hips upwards), and you also get a K2SO minifigure, as well as a printed UCS-style display plaque! The K2S-O minifigure is the same as the one 75399 Rebel U-Wing Starfighter.
Having seen this in person, I think this will be especially popular with fans of Rogue One, and also K2’s upcoming appearance in Andor Season 2.
