LEGO Star Wars Rebuild the Galaxy: Pieces of the Past announced!

Freshly announced at Star Wars Celebration Japan, LEGO and Star Wars have announced that LEGO Star Wars Rebuild the Galaxy Pieces of the Past, a four-part sequel to the Rebuild the Galaxy, the off-beat and highly hilarious LEGO Star Wars animation from showrunners Dan Hernandez and Benji Samit.

LEGO Star Wars Rebuild the Galaxy Pieces of the Past will premiere on 19 September 2025, on Disney+ and will continue on the story from Rebuild the Galaxy, which ended on a bit of a cliffhanger.

Ahmed Best (who voiced Darth Jar Jar) will also make a return, as he was on stage to reveal the sequel at Star Wars Celebration (to chants of Jar Jar from the crowd!).

Voice actor Ashley Eckstein returns to play a Brickheadz version of Ahsoka (it’s a shame the LEGO Version is retired, but maybe we’ll get a new one!). The poster reveal also includes the brick-built 75371 Chewbacca, Sig Greebling wielding an orange lightsaber, and a Jaxxon, an obscure Lepi smuggler first seen in the classic Star Wars Marvel comics!

Jaxxon will be voiced by Ben Schwartz of Parks and Recs and Sonic the Hedgehog fame!

“We’ve been asked, what’s next for Sig, Yesi, and Jedi Bob? Will there be more Darth Jar Jar?” Hernandez explained. “Star Wars Celebration fans, we’re excited to announce that their story will continue.” Samit then revealed the new season’s title via a hand-built, “brick by brick” LEGO timelapse.

Very excited for this news, as I really liked Rebuild the Galaxy and I really hope that we get some zanier LEGO sets that tie-in to Rebuild the Galaxy: Pieces of the Past along the lines of 75389 The Dark Falcon and 75388 Jedi Bob’s Starfighter. We better get a Jaxxon minifigure too!

Star Wars Rebuild the Galaxy: Pieces of the Past will premiere on 19 September 2025, on Disney+. If you want to catch up on what all the fuss is about Rebuild the Galaxy, you can watch all the episodes on Disney+, or stream them for free on Youtube! You can also read my review on the series!
