You can now vote for the next LEGO Classic Space Astronaut colour and Castle faction!

Good news for LEGO and Castle fans – you now have the power to determine the next colour of Classic Space Astronaut and Castle faction LEGO introduces next!

Voting has now opened on LEGO Ideas where you can choose from 5 options for Classic Space, and 4 Castle Factions that will decide which minifigures make it into the LEGO Minifigure Prize Machine, which was selected as an upcoming LEGO Ideas set.

It’s going to be incredibly tough, as these are all honestly very good options, but I’m going to have to go with Bright Bluish Green aka Teal for my vote.

We can finally complete the prophecy and complete the colours of Classic Space Astronauts in this iconic shot of LEGO Designers as Classic Space Astronauts.

The Castle Faction vote is a little more nuanced. We have two new never before seen options with the Kraken and Griffins faction, and two returning factions, Crows and Bulls, which we’ve gotten previously in 2000’s Knights Kingdom sets.

While I love the Tournament Knight, and have a small army, my vote is going towards the Krakens faction as it just looks so unique and I think it’s a fantastic opportunity to introduce new LEGO Castle Factions.

Voting has opened now on LEGO Ideas, and you can cast one vote each for Classic Space and Castle, until June 3rd, 2024 at 3pm CEST.

Which Classic Space colour and Castle faction are you voting for? Let me know in the comments!

I voted for Reddish Violet and the Kraken, I also liked the teal and blue astronauts (legonauts?).

  2. Netbug says:

We need light blue so we can officially put a spaceman in every spot on the “everyone is awesome” set

  3. Jason S. says:

I voted Violet Astronaut and Kraken faction.

Will be interesting to see if one of the two new castle factions wins if it leads to any other near future offerings for said banners.

    @Lego Fan

Arguably, the classic smiley head is already gender neutral. It’s been officially used for female characters since 1978.

    As per the photograph, designer Justin Ramsden posted an apology of sorts on Instagram;

(We made this image to celebrate a particular friendship forged from life-long interests in building bricks. It does not represent the gender diversity of the LEGO Design Team, who are made from 300+ individuals from across the world.)

  5. Stacey says:

I chose the yellow green one as it is gender neutral. For the Crest I chose the Griffin, I liked the color scheme.

  6. Lego fan says:

They couldn’t include just one woman? Either in the minifigure choices or in the designer photo? Do they have any female designers or do they force them all to work on Friends and Disney?

  7. aequiden says:

More good figs from a set I don’t want, guess I’ll bricklink whichever ones it’ll be.

  8. Håkan says:

Voted for the Magentleman and the Kraken Jack.

Still not sure if they alone would be worth the price for the full set, though.

  9. Cody Garner says:

I want the gold spaceman and the crow shield for castle

  10. Maks says:

im really curious how they’d introduce the Krakens. would their faction be along the shorelines with the control of Krakens? Does kraken ever come onto land? perhaps its undersea castle… i have a feeling even if its a cool concept, the griffin makes a ton of sense for Castle theme.

  11. David Lewis says:

    Dark azure and crow

  12. Evan says:

I voted for teal (bluish green) and Kraken. The spacemen are all great but the teal looks the best to me.
Kraken would be cool because they could do some seaside castle sets.

  13. Lana says:

I vote for teal spaceman and kraken faction.

  14. Kenneth says:

Dark azure for me. The bright greens seems a of an odd choice for the current colour palette. Reddish violet just jumps out too much. Gold is a good contender but I’m used to seeing chrome or pearl gold.

whatever the results, a new spaceman colour is always a winner.

  15. Allan says:

Why only one??? I want all FIVE spacemen!

  16. Ninjagofan217 says:

    yeah more Lego spacemen!!!!!!!

  17. Greg says:

    I voted Gold and Griffin.

I think gold is the most completely different color of the options to the current range, but I thought the teal and lime look great too.

Would also love to see Krakens and Griffins added. Imagine a Kraken faction with ships! But in the end Griffin is a pretty classic emblem.

  18. ItsMe says:

I voted for Gold Space and Crow Knights. However, I’m still a little torn on the latter because I’d love to see a new faction introduced. It would be cool to see mock-ups for the Kraken and Griffins.

  19. Nate says:

    Reddish Violet

  20. Kate says:

    Red Violet and Griffin.

  21. Arthur Escarrega says:

Hi. I like the green mini with the bull faction
