Sets I picked up at launch

I also popped into my local LEGO store yesterday (the 31st of December), where they were in the midst of stocking the shelves with some new 2025 releases. Unsurprisingly, I had to pick up a few things which I hope to feature or review in the coming weeks!
I’ll also be waiting for some of the newer sets to go on sale, before picking them up, specifically the new Creator 2025 sets for the alternate models.
Here’s everything I ordered today:
- 10350 Tudor Corner
- 10355 Blacktron Renegade
- 77055 Able Sisters Clothing Shop
- 77054 Leif’s Caravan & Garden Shop
- 77053 Stargazing with Celeste
- 72032 Super Mario™: Mario Kart™ – Standard Kart
- 40793 Tom & Jerry Brickheadz
- 60460 No Limits Race Car Ramp
- 60458 Pizza vs. Fire Truck
10350 Tudor Corner

In case you missed it, I gave 10350 Tudor Corner a glowing review, with a rare 5-star score. I typically buy copies of sets that LEGO sends me (to reduce the perception of bias, and assure readers that recommendations on price/value are rooted in reality), but I also have a rule that I stash away at least one of every set that gets a perfect score!
10355 Blacktron Renegade

I’m a sucker for vintage LEGO remakes, and am a tragic Blacktron 1/Space fan, so I had to back the launch with my wallet, and pick up a second copy of 10355 Blacktron Renegade.
If you read my review of the set, you can tell that I loved this new updated remake of the Blacktron 1 flagship, but I won’t be stashing this set away in storage, I bought a second copy so that I could also build the Blacktron Alienator alternate build and display them side by side!
All new January 2025 Animal Crossing sets

As a big fan of LEGO Animal Crossing, I HAD to pick up the three new sets that just launched: 77055 Able Sisters Clothing Shop, 77054 Leif’s Caravan & Garden Shop and 77053 Stargazing with Celeste to review!
I’m especially excited about the Celeste set, as I think it’s superb value, looks great and features fan-favourite character, Celeste!
72032 Super Mario™: Mario Kart™ – Standard Kart

LEGO Super Mario shifts into high gear in 2025, so I was very keen to get my hands on 72032 Super Mario™: Mario Kart™ – Standard Kart, which looks like a lot of fun, plus doubles as a great display model.
40813 Lucky Cat

I want more prosperity and luck in my life, so naturally, I had to pick up 40813 Lucky Cat!
60460 No Limits Race Car Ramp and 60458 Pizza vs. Fire Truck

There’s something really fun about LEGO City’s new novelty race cars, so naturally, I was very intrigued by 60460 No Limits Race Car Ramp and 60458 Pizza vs. Fire Truck. I also have a car-obsessed 3-year old, so I’m looking forward to if he enjoys playing with these little carts!

A whole heap of new LEGO City Formula 1 cars have also been released, so naturally, Automotive correspondent @guest-contributor also did a bit of New Year shopping and picked up most of the wave!
Expect some more reviews of these sets in the coming days and weeks!
