LEGO Gift Guide: The Best LEGO Botanical Collection Sets To Gift These Holidays

LEGO has always made for a fantastic gift that covers a huge spectrum of interests and age groups, but since the arrival of the Botanical Collection theme that’s been more true than ever. I mean, imagine gifting somebody a house plant or a bouquet – but one that also gives them hours of constructive fun and decorative plants that require no upkeep. Neat, right?

That’s why I’m certain that LEGO Flowers and Botanicals are going to be huge again these holidays, and will probably wind up gifting a few myself. With that in mind, I wanted to share a list of my picks for the Botanical sets that are available now and would make great gifts for just about anyone in your life.

With Double Insider Points and the gorgeous 40701 Ballerina & Nutcracker Scene available now as a Gift with Purchase, here’s some Gift Ideas for lovers of LEGO Flowers with Christmas coming up!

Celebrating the Holidays

LEGO has always been on the ball with introducing holiday-themed sets towards the end of the year, but Botanical Collection fans got a bit of extra love this year with two new sets that’ll go great amongst your other decoration. The 10340 Wreath is pretty obvious, but the 10370 Poinsetta Is a good one for being traditional for the time of my year but also appropriate all year-round.

  • Wreath – US$99.99 / AU$169.99 / £89.99 / €99.99 / CAD$129.99
  • Poinsettia – US$49.99 / AU$99.99 / £44.99 / €49.99 / CAD$64.99

For those in the US, 10370 Poinsetta is currently on sale on Amazon.com for 30% off for a limited time. In Australia, 10340 Wreath is 20% off on Amazon Australia.

Floral Gifts They Won’t Have To Look After

One of my favourite things about gifting LEGO Botanical Collection sets is that you’re not suddenly subjecting a loved one to something they need to look after. I’m notoriously bad at keeping plants or flowers alive, so I get it.

Classic floral arrangements like the 10328 Bouquet of Roses or the colourful 10313 Wildflower Bouquet are fantastic sets that look great in a standard vase, or for something they can display as-is the popular 10311 Orchid comes complete with an attractive LEGO pot of its own. And, one of the sets that started it all and still a really popular option – the 10281 Bonsai Tree.

For something a little different and that might appeal to friends or family wanting to build something together, the 10329 Tiny Plants and 10309 Succulents are both gorgeous little collections of plants that are versatile to build and display.

If you’re in Australia 10328 Bouquet of Roses is currently 30% off on Amazon Australia. There’s also a large range of these Botanicals on sale on Amazon.com

Botanicals on a Budget

The good news for anyone hoping to gift a LEGO Botanical Collection set this year but have budget concerns, is that the company just released two sub-AU$50/US$30 sets that are both genuinely great-looking and easy to display.

Both the 10369 Plum Blossom and the 10368 Chrysanthemum are smaller plants that are fun, fast builds and come with their own LEGO-built pots for display, so recipients can go from unwrapping to admiring in record time. They’ll also go great with some more Botanical Collection sets releasing next year with the 10343 Mini Orchid and 10344 Lucky Bamboo.

Amazon.com has great deals on these smaller-scale Botanicals, with 20-30% off 40725 Cherry Blossoms, 40524 Sunflowers, 40647 Lotus Flowers and 40747 Daffodils.

More Than Just Botanicals

I also wanted to shout out a couple of sets that aren’t strictly from the Botanical Collection, but are absolutely worth looking at if you’re shopping for someone who’s a fan of the theme.

The first is the LEGO Ideas 21346 Family Tree. This one’s not only got a tree as its central subject, but it’s naturally a great one for sharing with family over the holidays, and kids can get involved by hanging their own photos, notes or other momentos on the tree.

The other is the LEGO Ideas 21353 Botanical Garden, which might not be super appropriate as a spur-of-the-moment holiday gift at US$329.99 / AU$499.99 / €329.99, but for the LEGO fan in your life it’s one of the most exciting and incredible-looking releases of 2024 – and happens to have a botanical theme! There’s so much packed into this nearly 4000 piece set, and if you need to know more you can check out Jay’s extensive review right here.

There’s also 10315 Tranquil Garden, part of LEGO’s Gardens of the World collection, with 10359 Fountain Garden coming in January 2025. These miniature LEGO gardens capture the essence and spirit of different Botanical gardens, trees and architectural styles from around the world in a small form factor that’s perfect for display.
