ARTIST STATEMENT
"I have been exhibiting my work in both solo and group shows since 1988. I have taught art in public and alternative schools for over 30 years, and have been adjunct faculty in art education at both the Rhode Island School of Design and Rhode Island College. For three years I was Executive Director of the Rhode Island Alliance for Arts Education.

"As an artist listed in the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts (RISCA) Arts in Education Roster, I am available to participate in artist residencies at local schools. In the spring of 2004 I was invited to be an Artist in Residence at Acadia National Park in Maine. I am an artist member of the Providence Art Club.

"My work is representational, but not literal. My style can best be described as expressionist. I use color expressively and work inventively with form. My subject matter includes landscapes, florals and portraits (both people and animals)."
