Foster, RI 02825 (401) 647-7259 Cheryl A. Verchot, A.F.A. is an Artist & Designer. Cheryl was born and raised in the small rural town of Foster, RI and still resides there with her husband and their pets on a small hobby farm. Cheryl runs a business she calls Creative Photography & Design. Her art and design capture the beauty in everyday life but uphold it in a precious way. She works from her heart and true passion to capture beautiful pictures that people and their families will treasure for the rest of their lives and also to decorate spaces that people are comforted by. During her days she also manages the office at Paul King Foundry in Johnston, RI, a Fine Arts Foundry that casts mostly bronze statuary. Cheryl has an associate degree in Fine Arts, an extensive education in Photography and holds a certificate in Interior Design from the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, RI. She is a member of the fosteringArts.org organization, the Photographic Society of Rhode Island and the Northeastern Connecticut Art Guild. She is also an associate member of the Center for Design & Business (a joint venture between Bryant University & RISD). Growing up in Foster has given Cheryl a strong love of nature which is evident in her Fine Art Photography. Her close up photographs of flowers and gardens make a perfect match to brighten an interior when hung on its wall. Her many travels throughout the United States, Mexico and twelve countries in Europe have broadened her appreciation for design and given her much inspiration. Her Travel Photography is also well liked for Decor in the home or office. She enjoys photographing Artwork and Interiors and (being an animal lover) welcomes the occasional Animal Portrait. She works effectively with realtors and home owners in "Staging" their homes and also as a Consultant in the Decorating/Design field.
